Meal preparation is specific and together we can plan dishes that promote healing and nurture the family. Cooking can also be a separate service and take place within the family’s home. Nutrition and diet are crucial for the birth parent and family.

Helping families prepare and plan for meals and snacks is an important step in empowering them with ways to stay healthy and happy.

A useful book I often reference is The First Forty Days, by Heng Ou. It is a wonderful tool. Rich with information about the postpartum period, the book is full of nourishing recipes and encouragement for the healing birth parent and family.

I am currently boosted and up-to-date on all vaccines. Keenly aware of the vulnerable population I serve, I often mask when traveling or in large crowds, to protect the infants and families I serve. I remain completely transparent about wellness and illness when working with new families.
